Individual transect image taken with camera framer being pointcounted with CPCe.  Newly designed point-and-click data collection along with spreadsheet processing dramatically increased the efficiency and efficacy when using pointcount methodology .

CPCe also incorporated area analysis tools which allowed researches to determine spatial coverage of irregularly shaped objects such as corals and sponges.  

A 0.75m2 framer is normally teamed by two divers.  One diver positions and operates the camera while the second diver takes raw data and changes identification tags captured within each image.

Another framer image.  Note the tags on the periphery identifying the site, date, and image number.  Incorporating this information in the image allows belt transects to be assembled properly and makes comparisons between years much easier.
