A longspine squirrelfish skeleton mounted in a shadowbox and ready for illumination.
The skeleton illuminated using two colors of EL wire. Note how the light diffuses across the tail bones and the spinal cord. Clear hot glue offers fiberoptic characteristics that carry light away from the wire and towards the edges of the glue.
I made this sign for Grant when he opened Helter Skeletons. It was made from a glass table top I found on the side of the road. The image was spray painted on the rear of the glass using multiple layers of stenciling. The fish is the original logo Grant created. Now, if you made it this far, please do send me an email and I'll tell you a funny story about the significance of the moon.
